Together with the community, businesses, and organizations, the Planning Department strives to ensure that the unique qualities that make Miles City a great place to live are maintained. It does so by providing professional assistance in planning.
The Planning Department is responsible for the administration of the following:
- Subdivision Review
- Zoning Administration
- Grant Writing
- City Land Leasing
The department also works with the community on policy development to guide growth and provides staff for the Planning Board and Zoning Commission as they update such document as the Growth Policy, Subdivision Regulations, or Zoning regulations .
